I remember a few years ago my friend Michael (and our almighty webmaster) was making a documentary about cell phone use, but he didn’t want to set shots up. There was a lot of “Quick! Get the camera out!” whenever we saw someone using a cell phone in public.
Of course, now you can’t walk down a block without seeing half the people using a cell phone in some capacity. And you know the other half are just using invisible implants instead… hardly anyone is without a cell phone these days, and that happened in my lifetime! While I was paying attention!
It makes me feel old….

yeah, I remember when it was a big deal if someone had a beeper. it meant you were either a wallstreet exec or a drug dealer.

I remember my mom’s first cell phone. It was this horrible bulky thing. And it was only to be used in case of a supremely dire emergency. I use my cell phone now daily. Heck my phone, a T-mobile G1, is more powerful than my first computer!
