BEE ARE BEE
When I first started chatting online, some couple eons ago, my friend Greg kept saying “brb” every time he wanted to check something or go somewhere for a minute. ”Let me check, brb,” for example. In my innocent ignorance, I sounded it out in my head as “burb”… like it was just some sort of typing tick or silliness.
It wasn’t long after that when I learned the true meaning and joy of “brb” and then many other internet chat shortcuts. And ignored most of them. And now I hardly ever think of those youthful, innocent days… but today’s comic reminded me of how far we’ve come in the world of chat lingo.
